Some players have expressed an interest is in a forum for Xyberpunk. I suggest using a CMS instead of a simple forum.

Nice URLs, i.e. not http://forum.example.com/xyberpunk?action=view&mode=threaded&item=4711, but rather 4711?. Ugly URLs are often much longer than the example.
RSS feeds in essential for keeping up-to-date with several forums on a daily basis using software such as RSS View.
Implementing mail-to-forum is next to impossible unless a a separate domain is used.
Hosting
If possible, the forum should be hosted on xyberpunk.net. My reasons include: proper domain name, reduntant disks, proper backups to tape.
