Esteban was born in Mexico City in a poor family, his chances for advancement in the civil word was cut short. Although poor his father was an honest man and gave Esteban several severe beatings when he'd been shoplifting to get a decent meal. When Esteban's mother was killed in the food riots 2008, his father started drinking, as a result the beatings got more frequent and without reason. Seeing this his oldest brother Jorge took him on as a errand boy.

At age fourteen his father died in a mysterious fire that started in his bed. Esteban was arrested for arson but due to his young age he was given the choice to join the army. He became a veteran of jungle warfare in Honduras, and he met his future solo-companion Tony "El Tigre" Llamas. His employers spent a small fortune on cyber replacements for lost body parts and he got the rest for himself later.

During a jungle mission he and Tony were captured by Major Adams of the Biotechnica Security division and they were subject to extensive brainwashing. Esteban got trough the treatment due to his experimental heroin-gland from Zeta-Tech. Before his escape from Biotechnica his gland was found and removed for study.

Now Esteban gives a somewhat shaky impression but after a visit to Sweden for therapy his need for drugs has been cured, and he is a much happier person.......
