Haruko Kanawa
Haruko Kanawa first appeared in Home of the Brave.
Haruko was Okano's chief enforcer and when his bid for power failed, she was
forced to leave the company. She has many powerful enemies in Aaraska, and
she has been on the run for nearly a year.
Haruko finally ended up in the Manhattan Combat Zone in New York.
Desperate for money, she reluctantly agreed to enter an underground
fighting match.
The crowd included a surprisingly large number of suits, obviously Arasaka
exec who had come to watch her die. Her opponent was
Vita, one of the runners who had been the cause of
Okano's failure and her own disgrace.
Haruko was mortally wounded in the fight, but Vita decided not to leave her
to the dogs. They have since become friends, and Haruko is currently
rooming with Vita.
