Germany.
Finacial and cultural core of Europe, if not the world! And not only
according to themselves.
Film, music, litterature and science are all amongst the foremost in the world
competing savagely with its competitors in Poland and France for the title of
Cultural Elite of Europe.
This Economic Superpower is most certainly one of the Major League players in
the world today.
Many of its corporations are among the Top 100. Names such as IEC, Dornier
Weltraumbau, Mayer, Stermeyer, Volkswagen and Rheinmetall-Borsig come to mind.
Not only are its corporations mighty but its political power as well.
Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Turkey and Romania are all nations
who are all in one way or another very much dependent on the economy and
politics of Germany.
These nations are by no means exploited mercilessly or even
callously. Make no mistake, they are exploited nonetheless.
This kind of financial dependency of smaller nations on greater is not
uncommon or harmful, but for some reason expanding German influence tends to
make some people uneasy as opposed to German beer wich is very refreshing
indeed.
